I have led and participated in dozens of archaeological expeditions in New Jersey and the surrounding region for more than 30 years mapping shipwrecks. My enthusiasm for local maritime history allows me to identify shipwrecks in NJ waters. I hold a PADI Divemaster rating and have logged over 2,300 dives since 1974.
Lectures and presentations offered include shipwreck history, wreck site identification, and classroom instruction on several topics.
I record wreck sites for archaeologists, including artifacts found at the sites recorded in situ or after recovery.
Research includes investigation of wreck sites and recovered artifacts and recommendations on conservation.
I teach wreck site and artifact recording using classical methods to more up-to-date technology. Contact me for my field school schedule.
